New Year, New Us

As many of you know, I am a recovering journalist. I spent the better part of fifteen years in television and newspaper newsrooms around the Midwest, covering everything from barbecue contests and school board meetings to Presidential elections and the Oklahoma City Bombing.
One of my favorite assignments was as a writer for Josephine, a local women’s magazine. Every year during our New Year, New You makeover, women would write in and tell us why their friend or relative needed a new look. And every year, we heard amazing stories of survival and determination, and saw unbelievable transformations not only physically, but in their self-confidence.
Now before you all start writing in, I am not offering you a makeover… my makeup and hair styling skills are pretty limited, just ask my two teen daughters. But my question is this… Most of us start off January by promising to make changes in the New Year, so what should the Chamber’s resolutions be? How can we better serve you and your business?
We have already made a few changes, like revamping our benefit list, adding new Chamber events and expanding the ways you can keep in touch… and we have a few ideas for 2017, but first we want to hear from you.
So if you have any suggestions drop me a line, give me a call, visit our Facebook page or stop by the office and let us know. The more ideas the merrier.
