Fair parade features patriotic theme

Help us kick off the Thomas County Free Fair week by entering a float the Thomas County Fair Parade!
The parade will take place on Tuesday, July 25, beginning at 5:30 p.m. in downtown Colby and will feature the theme, Red, White and Blue – This Fair is for You!
Check-in is required and starts at 4 p.m. under the tent on the corner of Eighth and Franklin. All implements will line-up on Franklin Avenue north of the train tracks located north of Fike Park, horses and riders will line up at City Hall, and all other entries will line up on West 7th or West 8th Street. Parade entrants will then travel south on Franklin to Cedar Street, ending at the Thomas County Fairgrounds.
The parade is open to anyone who wishes to enter, including community and youth groups, special interest clubs, businesses, and individuals. Entrants are encouraged to incorporate the fair theme into their parade entry design. Prizes will be awarded to the entries the judges feel best represent this year’s parade theme.
There is no entry fee. Registration forms are available at the Colby Thomas County Chamber of Commerce office or online at ColbyChamber.com and must be submitted by Friday, July 21.
