Leadership Thomas County
Leadership is the capacity to transform vision into reality.” ~ Warren G. Bennis
Leadership Thomas County recognizes future leaders, provides the opportunities for leadership skills development, and helps participants gain a greater knowledge of Thomas County by looking at the past and future of the county. With the knowledge and skills, the group encourages participants to take an interest in area leadership positions.
This dynamic course consists of four sessions, over two months (usually January/February). The participatory program emphasizes leadership skills, civic leadership and community awareness.
Networking opportunities for the participants are also planned into the program so class members can become better acquainted and work together to find solutions to the problems of a progressive, growing community.
A diverse group of adult participants as well as youth will be selected from various businesses, professional, governmental, education, religious and civic organizations. The youth shall be selected by the schools across Thomas County.
If you or someone you know is interested in being a part of the next Leadership class, submit the name to Leadership Thomas County. Nominees will be sent an application form. It is essential that nominees have the full support for this program by his/her employer before returning the completed form.
A selection committee will review the applications and create the class. For more information contact the Chamber office at (785) 460-3401.
