    Citizens Health Community Update: 6-22-20

The Thomas County Health Department released updated information on confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in Thomas County. As mentioned, with the increased number of testing we can expect to see an increase in positive results. As always, Citizens Health’s top priority is the safety of our patients, caregivers, and the community. We have been planning and preparing for any circumstances and took all necessary precautions to ensure everyone’s safety following CDC and KDHE guidelines. Our staff is well trained and follows specific procedures using the tools and techniques in place to protect themselves, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). At this time, we do not have a hospitalized COVID-19 patient at Citizens Medical Center and are operating as normal. However, we have made a few changes to our procedures including requiring ALL patients and visitors to wear a mask when entering the buildings and No visitors in the ER unless the patient is under 18. Please rest assured that we are working diligently with our partners to ensure the safety of our patients, visitors, and staff. If you have questions or concerns please contact the Thomas County Health Department at 785-460-4596.
